1998 CHARTRON & TREBUCHET Macon Villages
From
a value white Burgundy region, made from 100% Chardonnay. It
offers up modest aromas of pineapple and pear, with mineral flavors
joining in on the palate, accompanied by suggestions of candle wax.
What's missing is some spice and zing, turning soft on the finish, with
some citrus notes eventually taking over. It's a modest wine, but
possesses enough complexity to give it some personality.
