1997 MONTES ALPHA Cabernet

Lovely
wine. Graceful, elegant and smooth, despite tannins firming up on the
finish. Bouquet has loads of interest with a gamy, earthy overlay on
ripe dark fruit. Rich, ripe fruit flavors of black cherries and plums
end in a lingering finish, heavily suggestive of creamy vanillin.
Subtle, with nothing standing out, but still very good.
