2000 LOS VASCOS
Cabernet Sauvignon, Colchagua
A property of Lafite Rothschild, the winery offers a Cabernet that is green and peppery on the nose while the palate delivers fruit flavors laced with herbs. The fruit carries earthy overtones and comes off moderately ripe. The tannins are light and so is the body. Its certainly an offbeat rendition of Cab, and it might take a little getting used to, but you cant accuse this wine of not having personality.
