Calina

1995 CALINA Cabernet Sauvignon, Valle Central  Chilean red presents promising aromas of dark berries, vanilla, oak and hints of earth.  Its muted flavors of fruit and oak don't stand up to its nose, however, but the finish does linger nicely.  A Wine Spectator Magazine 87 seems a little high to us.  But, hey, the price is right!                   04/16/98            Tom
