2000 LIBERTY SCHOOL Chardonnay,
Central Coast
Aromas
and flavors of ripe pineapple are rampant in this more austere take on
Chardonnay. Plenty of lemon lime citrus is present as well. Despite the
abundance of cool climate characteristics, smoky spicy notes emerge to add
just a bit of richness. No overuse of oak here. Rather a crisp and clean
wine and, unlike a lot of California Chards, promises to work well with
food.
