1999 EOS Chardonnay, Paso Robles
The
modest aromatics are comprised of citrus fruit with a floral overlay,
reminiscent of dry Riesling. The palate is understated with flavors of
melon and ripe apple embraced by lingering notes of hazelnut and almond,
which finally give way to perfume of vanilla. No big, oaky Chardonnay
here. Rather, its soft, with just a touch of acidity and offers up an
array of flavors, which provide lots of interest.
