2001 AVILA Grenache Mouvedre
Syrah Santa Barbara, Cote d'Avila
Faint aromatics of dark berries and brown sugar lead to ripe fruit flavors of
raspberry and red cherries. It's medium bodied with tame tannins, but
without much length. This southern Rhone look-alike is really
a quaffer and would work well with simple bistro fare. 65% Syrah, 20%
Mouvedre, 15% Grenache.
