1999 GRANT BURGE Shiraz, Barossa Miamba
This single vineyard Shiraz from the well-known winemaker starts off with meaty, earthy accented fruit scents on the nose. What the bouquet lacks in intensity, it makes up for in interest. Meanwhile, there are plenty of ripe fruit flavors on the palate, fairly full bodied and rich, with soft enough tannins. While its short on length and complexity, its a decent Shiraz rendition, at a decent price with good name recognition.
