1997 KUMEU RIVER Sauvignon

Starting
with very impressive brassy, gold colors, this wine goes downhill from
there. Aromas and flavors of fermented stone fruit and burnt
butter are miles away from the big, bright and bold classic Kiwi Sauvis. Out of balance because it lacks citrus acidity, it reminds
one of a mutant Amarone Della Valpolicella.
